Did you know that for the past few years researchers and scientists have been working on developing an artificial womb?

It's primarily intended to provide a womblike environment for extremely premature infants, helping give them a better chance at survival.

​However, it's also been discussed as a potentially viable option for extracorporeal pregnancy and for long intergalactic exploration.

​There's no doubt that the ethical implications of this need to be thought through carefully.
